Description

LifeSaver is a self-inflating horseshoe buoy for use on boats of all kinds, large and small. Being small and light, LifeSaver is easy to store and to use. Its size, combined with its light weight, makes it easy to throw, and to throw accurately. LifeSaver inflates automatically when it enters the water. The horseshoe buoy and the water-sensitive inflation mechanism are protected by a watertight casing. When LifeSaver is thrown it opens 1-2 centimeters, so that water can reach the water-activated part of the mechanism. When LifeSaver enters the water, the mechanism operates, and the horseshoe buoy inflates. The open casing remains attached to the horseshoe buoy by a cord and acts as a drift anchor, to prevent the buoy blowing a way.
